The Mama Bear Autism Foundation is a local organization based in Moyock, North Carolina, dedicated to raising awareness, providing support, and advocating for individuals and families within the autism community.

about Our Founder:
After my son was diagnosed with autism, I began reaching out to other parents and professionals in the autism community. Through these conversations, I quickly realized that more resources, awareness, and acceptance were desperately needed. This realization ignited my passion to become an advocate for autism.
​As I immersed myself in learning about autism, I discovered many misconceptions and stigmas that unfairly surround the condition. I knew I wanted to challenge these misunderstandings and help promote a more inclusive, accepting society.​
Being a mother to a child with autism has been a transformative journey, teaching me resilience, empathy, and the true power of unconditional love. Along the way, I’ve seen the incredible potential and unique abilities that individuals with autism possess—something that deserves to be celebrated, not misunderstood.
​At the core of the Mama Bear Autism Foundation is a mission to empower families and individuals affected by autism. We aim to break down barriers and create a world where everyone is accepted for who they are. No parent or child should ever feel alone or unsupported, and we are committed to making sure they don’t.
​In embracing autism, I have found my life’s purpose. It is both a privilege and a joy to advocate for a cause that is so close to my heart, and to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
